From a young age, I’ve always had a drive to help others, and this has been a guiding principle throughout my career. I have navigated my professional journey through various roles and industries, from the fast-paced world of used car sales to the precision and creativity of culinary arts. Each phase of my journey has enriched me with unique experiences and insights, ultimately leading me to discover my true calling in IT sales.
At the heart of my career is a love for solving problems and overcoming challenges. I found that these principles were just as crucial in navigating the complexities of IT solutions as they were in mastering the perfect recipe or closing a car sale. Each role, each challenge, each success has been a stepping stone, shaping me into the professional I am today and preparing me for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Career Highlights
My career has been marked by significant achievements that reflect my commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and relentless drive. In my current role at Sonatype, I’ve had the privilege of leading government sales across Australia and New Zealand. I have consistently outperformed targets, reaching 150% of our goals and securing more new logos than any other team member.
Before joining Sonatype, I made my mark at Fortinet by selling FortiSiem and FortiEDR to the government – a first in the company’s history. And at F1 Solutions Australia, I broke company records by securing their largest ever sales, including deals with the government and several of the Group of 8 universities. These achievements serve as milestones in my career, fueling my ambition and shaping my approach to sales and leadership.
Skills and Expertise
Throughout my career, I’ve cultivated a diverse set of skills that set me apart in my field. My ability to understand and implement personal growth principles in my professional life has been a significant factor in my success. I’ve honed the art of building and maintaining robust relationships with partners, clients, and team members, which has been crucial in developing high-performing teams and securing key accounts.
In addition to these soft skills, I’ve also developed technical expertise in cybersecurity, earning the Fortinet Network Security Expert Level 1 and 2 and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Certified Associate certificates. These certifications, along with my Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, provide a strong foundation for my work in the IT sector.
Continued Learning
Continual learning is a cornerstone of my professional philosophy. Despite the demands of full-time work in the industry, I’ve made it a priority to constantly update myself through reading books, taking courses, and conducting my own research. I also pursued my Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology while working full-time, a challenging yet rewarding experience that further solidified my IT knowledge.
In addition to technical learning, I’ve also focused on personal and professional development. Influential books such as “Atomic Habits”, “Growth Mindset”, “How to Win Friends and Influence People”, “Never Split the Difference”, and “Good to Great” have shaped my approach towards personal growth, leadership, and business strategy.

As I look to the future, I am excited by the possibilities and challenges that lie ahead. My goal is to lead a successful sales team for a mid to large company, pushing the boundaries of what is possible and driving growth. To achieve this, I am committed to continuous learning, staying abreast of industry trends, and refining my leadership style.
